Gerloff Painting employs a Top Down Safety Approach. Our Full Time Safety Director routinely updates our Corporate Safety Program to maintain compliance with OSHA, Army Corpse of Engineers, NAVFAC, NASA, etc. We maintain an EMR Rating below .90.
Our Field Mechanics are well trained and routinely certified. Our Supervisors are knowledgeable and equipped. Our Estimators include the costs for safety in every bid. Our Project Managers are prepared with Job Specific Safety Plans, Activity Hazard Analysis Reports, and MSDS Sheets for every project.
We are a EPA Certified Lead Renovator. Our employees hold various certifications from OSHA 10, OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR, Manlift Certification, Respirator Fit Test and Medical Clearance, Competent Person, Fall Protection Training, and more. We require pre-employment drug screening, as well as random drug testing.
In 2019, our attention to safety was recognized by the Assocation of Builders and Contractors National STEP Program (Safety Training Evaluation Process). We were selected as one of only 30 Virginia contractors to receive the prestigious PLATINUM award, in honor of our outstanding safety program. 2019 ABC AWARD WINNERS
Gerloff Painting is proud to have been named the Association of General Contractors Subcontractor of the Year 3 times over the past 10 years, most recently awarded in December 2014.
Along with the AGC , Gerloff Painting stays active with other organizations including the Association of Builders and Contractors, the Community Associations Institute, the Builders and Contractors Exchange, and the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.
We are also actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, and a longstanding contributor to the United Way and the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke
